DR. CAPINPIN

Dr. Capinpin grew up in the East Bay. He attended the University of California, Davis earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology in 1990. He went on to attend the University of the Pacific,  Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco earning his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1994. The first few years out of school were spent as an associate dentist at offices in Antioch, Concord, and Piedmont. Dr. Capinpin started his own practice in Walnut Creek in 1996, and then moved the practice to its present location in 2001. Dr. Capinpin is an active member of the Partnership Study Club which is comprised of a group of peers who meet monthly to review, discuss, and learn about the newest technologies and advancements in dentistry. Dr. Capinpin is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Spear Dental Study Club, and served as a board member for the Contra Costa Dental Society.
The Doctor met his wife, Janelle,  while attending UC Davis.   They have three children; Jaylene, Carissa, and Nathan. Dr. Capinpin enjoys rooting for all the local sports teams, cooking, musicals, hiking, scuba, fishing, farmers markets, and losing golf balls on the fairway.

JODIE

I worked in a dental office for 10 years prior to joining Dr. Capinpin’s practice, until my previous doctor retired. During that time, I wore many hats and gained a thorough understanding of all aspects of dentistry. I am most comfortable being the face of the office, welcoming patients and helping them feel at ease—whether they are new patients getting started or established patients continuing their treatment

 

A Bay Area native who fell in love with dentistry after finishing community college—and it’s been my passion ever since. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking local trails with friends, baking something sweet, painting, or hanging out with my Maltipoo, Benji Roo. I love trying new recipes from my Italian side and my homemade Lasagna passed down from my grandmother has always been a hit.

 

 

TINA

Tina has joined the practice in 2013 and has been a great addition to the team. She attended Western Career College and received her certificate to be a Dental Assistant in 2006. Although she loves chair side dentistry, she has found a calling as the practice’s administrator. She is the person you turn to with any questions about scheduling, dental treatment recommendations or just about anything that involves dental insurance. She is also the secretary of the Contra Costa Dental Connection, a Dental Professional Learning Network recognized by the American Association of Dental Office Managers. Tina is constantly learning more about the dental field that will benefit our dental practice and more importantly, our patients.

Born and raised a Bay Area native, she currently resides in Vallejo to be close to family with her husband Marcellus and 2 beautiful kids, Eleanor and Malakai. In her free time, she enjoys crafting; whether it be sewing or with her Cricut, sharing a passion of dancing Tahitian with her daughter, cooking (and baking) and spending quality time with her very large family.

VERONICA

Veronica has worked for Dr. Capinpin since 1998. She assisted him in developing the practice’s Dental Hygiene Recall Program, designed to provide high quality, regular dental care to patients. A graduate of UC Berkeley and Diablo Valley College’s Dental Hygiene Certification program more than 30 years ago, Veronica has a professional commitment to life-long learning through dental seminars, study groups, conventions and practice management – all of which enhance her passion for making a healthy difference in the lives of her patients.

Veronica enjoys skiing, backpacking and yoga for life. She has been married for more than 36+ years and has an adult son with an amazing wife and 3 grandchildren.

MARCELLA

Marcella, a new addition to the practice October 2024, is born and raised in Concord, California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at CSU East Bay before finding her calling as a dental hygienist. She later went on to graduate with her hygiene degree from DVC. Marcella’s goal as a dedicated dental hygienist is to continue her passion for promoting oral health, cultivate meaningful patient experiences, and educate our patients on their individual needs. She believe that improving one’s oral health can significantly enhance the overall well being of an individual.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, playing pickle ball, trying out new recipes, painting, traveling, and starting to try her hand at gardening.

ANNA

Anna joined the practice in 2024 right after she graduated from the Loma Vista Dental Assisting program. She enjoys the satisfaction and confidence patients gain in their smile when they are in our chair. She values their comfort, and enjoys making sure everyone leaves happy with their outcome.

During her free time Anna enjoys walks in the park with my dogs Princess & Coco. She loves being active whether it’s hiking or going to the gym. She also enjoys traveling and love being by the ocean & watching sunsets.
